My name is Hanna Holcroft, I am a trained and certificated birth doula and hypnobirthing teacher, offering antenatal, birth and postnatal / breastfeeding support.
I live with my husband Gavin and our two children, Tehya and Lolah-Blue, and our two rescue dogs Lara and Leonardo.
Before retraining as a doula, I worked predominantly as a personal advisor, guidance counsellor, youth worker and specialist teaching assistant. My previous roles focused on providing information, personal support and guidance, these are of course very transferable skills and suit doula work perfectly.
I began my doula journey when I trained as a volunteer breastfeeding peer supporter with an inspirational UK organization based in Cornwall called Realbabymilk. It was through this support role, reflecting on my own labour / birth and breastfeeding experiences that my passion for all things birth was born… Listening to families, hearing their stories inspired me to learn more about the natural physiology of pregnancy and birth, to really explore the importance of postnatal support. This process taught me how much value there is in uncompromised / dedicated antenatal, birth and postnatal support. I feel deeply privileged to be in a position to support positive birth experience!
My mission and my passion… To provide exceptional quality antenatal, labour / birth, postnatal / breastfeeding support and guidance, both physical and emotional, to women, pregnant people their partners and families!
